Default Modern Performance's SUGGESTED BUILD STAGES for the 1st gen's??

Anyone been to modernperformance.com and noticed that the "suggested build stages for the 1st gen neons" are missing?? i know they changed their website but i couldn't seem to find it. anyone copied them??

I wanted to build my neon for their stage 2 turbo kit. by the way which is better... 2.4 swap or turboing the 2.0 dohc?? that neon that ran like 9's or 10's, what engine and tirbo was he using??

I debated on betting turbo or doing the swap. I figured that the turbo will be better because it will put out more power then the 2.4. You can always turbo it, buy a 2.4 later on and it will bolt on when your ready. I plan on buying a 2.4 soon and rebuilding it to handle more boost. im in the proccess of the turbo right now. Becuase of money problem i may have to sell the baby when its done . maybe not . And to turbo the neon is easy. If you need any help let me know. Spud and 95to96 helped me alot along with other in my post here https://dodgeforum.com/m_1063321/tm.htm . let me know if you have any questions. I can make it simple, sometimes people on here are to smart and i dont get there point. So have fun a choose wisely, enless your rich then just go blow it up and buy another one with everything in it.
I am looking at around $1300 will all connections, rebuilt garret t3, hoses, fuel pumps, guages, intercooler and piping, everything but the rrfpr.

that would only be possible if the 2.0 is a dohc....otherwise you will have to buy a different exhaust manifold when you do the 2.4 swap

If your going to turbo do the srt-4 turbo if your dohc, rising rate fuel pressure regulator. Yea for the 2.0 sohc. I dont like dohc, and i like tha fact i am not changing my engine and still having a fast car. Anyone can buy a car thats fast or buy a car and do a bigger swap. i want to make my neon fast with keeping the engine in there along with stock interior and body work.

rrfpr= Raising Rate Fuel Pressure Regulator.

What it does is add fuel at a pre set ratio to boost...ie..1lb of fuel for every 1lb of boost...

It adds fuel the more boost you get into so your engine dont run lean and blow the hell up.

now im debating weather or not to do the 2.4 swap or not.. is it better to turbo the 2.0 dohc or the 2.4????

cuz i would think your starting out with more with the 2.4 that you would end up with more after turboing it
since the 2.0 dohc is 150 and 130 on hp and torque,,,, and the 2.4 is 150 and 165 on hp and torque

you will get more power right away out of a 2.0 turbo then you would a 2.4 n/a swap.....though your reliability factor drops damatically with a turbo....

a fuel pressure regulator will only hold a stedy fuel presure, but a rising rate will raise the fuel pressure depending on what ratio regulator you get.....
1:1.....1lb of fuel for every 1lb of boost
4:1.....4lbs of fuel for every 1lb of boost
6:1.....6lbs of fuel for every 1lb of boost
8:1.....8lbs of fuel for every 1lb of boost
and so on....

i love the dohc motors, though i cant stand sohc's....

a dohcturbo manifold from a 2.0 will work on a 2.4.....as long as the 2.0 is a dohc...

and vise versa?? 2.4 turbo manifold onto a 2.0 dohc?

so the best turbo for the neon is the srt-4 turbo??

duh!!! i wasnt saying that the 2.4 na would take the 2.0

i was saying if i put the 2.4 in and turboed it would it be faster then the 2.0 turboed with the same mods cancel out driver error and all that stuff,, which engine would be faster.. i would thinkit would be the 2.4 becuz of the torque comparison..
