i've got a 96 with a 2.0... can the pistons be pulled out through the oil pan without removing the crank if i want to do new rings a rod bearings? i had a ford truck that i could rebuild in a weekend, i had to do it twice cuz i i plasti-guaged the bearings not knowing that they were already oversize, so the bearings that i put in were not the correct ones the first time. anyway, i was just curious, thanks.

 

you cannot get the pistons out through the bottom without removing the crank....you have to go through the top
