Default Oil light on in heavy snow

I recently purchased a 97 neon with the DOHC a couple of weeks ago when driving thru deep snow when I would release the throttle the oil light would flash the go off we got a foot of snow again and it did again while driving home from work the engine runs fine and does't seem to be losing pressure anyone have this problem or can offer suggestions it has only happened twice so I will keep a close tab on it though but any insight or suggestions would be appreciated
Thanks

OK now it seems to go on when the engine is been running a while and is warm I changed the oil and used synthetic blend 10-30 I have been thinking about putting a heavier oil in or could it be the oil sending unit? any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated
