Default RE: Where should I go from here...

ok I was looking into putting dohc pistons in my car but concider this...

SOHC pistons in a DOHC=9.3:1
DOHC pistons in a DOHC=9.6:1
SOHC pistons in a SOHC=9.8:1
DOHC pistons in a SOHC=10.3:1

is 10.5 and 10.3really going to gain me any hp at all???

I think it would be cheaper just to get some of these...

plus there skirted and hypereutectic

And I know that crane 12s are a turbo grind but do they work well on a NA car???

go with the 2.4 swap. for a n/ayou can getway more power from a n/a 2.4

as for a 2.0 aturbo would be my advice....but if you want a n/a 2.0 its

you would still need forged pistons if shooting for 300hp+so yes the 10.5 and 10.3 would be worth some extra hp it's just a few dollars more

word of adivce though n/a motors eat gas up fast...turbo motors you can control the boost so you can save a few bucks

building a turbo kit does not take much at all, and i saved alot of money getting one myself rather than getting a hahn kit.......

as for na, bigger valves are avalable..... accually i think mopar performance makes them but not 100% sure......

a turbo is nice when youdontwant power at all times...but n/a is quicker at thethrottle...the problem is turbos can get you up to 400hp in a neon...n/a has a limit with out no2 then it becomes a forced induction engine.

no2 makes plent sense being forced, your forceing more air into the intake manifold causing the hp to go up

"Two of the commonly used forced induction technologies are turbochargers and superchargers. They differ primarily in the power source for the compressor. It should be noted that there is a difference between forced induction and power adders. A power adder is anything that improves an engine's power output, which does not necessarily mean increasing charge density. Oxidizing technologies such as nitrous oxide injection systems provide improved power, but are not a form of forced induction"
