EGR blocked off...Now more vac???
Ok so I blocked off my EGR valve last night seeing that my AMM Intake manifold is on its way and should be here on saterday... Ok I have a boost gauge in my car... no turbo just use if for vac purposes (got it for like 5 bucks when apc went out of buesness and checker was clearanceing everything out...) anyways normally my vac. at idle is at -.5 bar, now it is sitting at right about -.7 bar witch is a difference of (correct me if im wrong) about 2.5 psi.... I find it odd that I now have more vac. by blocking it off... I used the nickel trick inbetween the valve and block. and then I cut the egr tube and took the ovel part that mounts to the intake manifold and cut a pop can up and put it inbetween the ovel part and intake... it works fine i know its ghetto. but it will work till i get the AMM manifold... I also blocked off the egr vac line at the booster and removed the ufo deal... But why do i all asudden have more vac??
