Foolish, $10,000 in a Neon. You deserve to lose that money being that dumb to spend that much and get so little in performance parts and not getparts that actually increase its value.

I could see if its totally tricked out paying $6,000 but its not. Its a standard Neon with a Turbo much like mine. Doug your the perfect example of the stereotypical person thinking "if its expensive it must be good" Not always the case. You overspent everywhere that you didn't need to. Everywhere you shopped they seen you coming, you must have worn your excitement and taken every word the parts dealer said as the Gospel.

That term that says "just a Neon" really pisses me off, if you like the car and it gives you that special feeling then its worth it. There an awesome sleeper car. Who can afford a Hemi Cuda? I sure can't and if I could afford it would I be racing it on the street?

The Neon has sexy looks even as a 4 door but they look sporty and it takes very little to make them run fast. The weakest link is the shocks and tires for going fast. The rest of it will hold up fine.

I'm done writing trying to convince you.If you don't appreciate your car by now then sell it to somebody who will, but I still think that for$6,000 you areprice gouging. I hate when people try to sell me cars and tell me how much they stuck in it, I know from expirence buying and selling cars that you never get your money out of upgrades, in fact more so than not it hurts the value of the car. Upgrades are only worth it for the person who paid to have them on and every Mechanicknows that their labor is worth **** when they sell cars.

The facts are you'll never get more than $3000 out of the car so you lose money instantly as you sell it. If you do get more than $3000 then congradulations on finding a retard.

From expirence throwing transmissions in a 3000GT and helping both of my friends who own themits not much different from a Neon, except its a little bigger, otherwise it has practically the same suspension design. Its plenty strong as is the Neon.

What I'm getting at is you'll only get your money out of it if you use it because everybody is going to jew you on the car.

i spent enough money on my car to buy2 used srt4's....and regret every minuite of it....

i tried explaining this to my wife before when i was thinking of selling my car with the built motor in it....
i had alot of fun building my car and spending the money i did...but it was completely retarded to do so...if i were to have sold that car, i would have gotten a max of about $4,000 out of it...because either way you look at it, its still a neon that you can find at almost any used car lot for $1500

well it's not just 10000 in parts that are on there and alot of parts are not on the car[>:]

the neon was 1000
the turbo was 2500
the new whells are about 500
two exhaust systems are 1000
the hood was 600 something
depo's where 150
side lights 12
109 for the udp
109 for the sts
and a hell of alot of other parts

a $1000 neon with almost $5000 worth of junk on it....no offense...
im not trying to tell you it was worthless, but how many neons do you see for sale that say there is 20k invested, yet are only for sale for $4k????

 

i spend money on my neon because it is a fun HOBBY, even if u bought a wrx and modded the hell out of that, eventually u will want to get something different, and spend WAY more than 15k(no offence spud)...i have to say it but it is true..... most everyone on this sight mods there car, weather it is a body kit, or spoilers, or engine work, or what ever.....we all have one thing in common....that is spending r free time "tinkering" on our neons, or chargers, or dodge ram, ext ext.......

but to each his own, i love smoking mustangs in my neon and telling people it is just a neon......

but what ever u decide to do is good, it is ur car so do what ever u want to
