you will have to only hone out up to the butterfly

honing wont make the inside bigger. you must be talking about getting it bored out

because obviously its not goin to seal tight afterwards
shouldnt be too hard to make a new one

make a new one? actually that really wouldnt be all that easy. it has to be nearly perfect fit, and its slightly offset to one side. I considered making a new plate when i bored mine out but dicided it was too much work. so i just bored it out up to the plate and port matched it to the plenum. Of course when i port matched it to the plenum i also made that opening quite a bit bigger on both pieces as well. Now im working on my plenum spacer, i got the idea off one of the other members on here and it makes sence. should help me gain a bit more top end.

you prolly got the plennum spacer idea from me. i still havent put the ported and polished manifold on yet that i have the spacer on but i will be soon.. when you make it be sure to get two gaskets for the plenum so after you make the rough template of the spacer you can bolt it to the topside if the manifold with a ggasket on it already. this will show you how far to port/blend the spacer and mani together.. do the same with the lower half of te plenum.

mine ended up like this https://dodgeforum.com/photo.asp?pho...=6&apage=1

that pic was from about 90 percent done
