Hello all.
I drive a 95 DOHC neon
I went on a long drive across state the other day and halfway my engine began stalling. I pulled over checked it out, nothing out of the ordinary so i pulled out my tools and checked out the plugs which seemed in less than mediocre condition so, the engine stalled several more times over the next 2 miles on the way to the napa. I put in four new spark plugs and managed to make it the rest of the way.

This was not however the end of my troubles since the engine stalled again twice (i would simply hold the clutch down while coasting to get it running again) towards the end of my trip.

Generally it was the engine dropping out/sputtering/driving my tach wild eventually cutting everything out. I originally assumed the plugs were just old and werent firing consistently, but is there a timing situation here??

Any suggestions/inferences on whats up?

 

kinda hard to say, but i wouldtry O2 sensors. (just a guess)
