Default weird gas gauge problem

Hello There is something that has me puzzled about my gas gauge. When I fill up the gas gauge will go all the way to full. But it will go down to E so fast, after about 120-130 miles it is at the bottom of E.I thought maybe I was leaking gas or just HORRIBLE gas mileage but its not.I figured I could go about 330 miles around town so I was at 130 miles on my tripometer and It was on E,and I went all the way to 330 miles with it on E and then I filled up never ran out or anything.Anybody know what this could be?Fuel pump?the gauge I dont know? Thanks.

So I was told is that the tank gets smaller as it goes down so it "uses" gas faster but it doesnt, its just a small 10 or 12 gallon tank.

I think its bs they couldnt be more consistant on the gauge readings.

fuel sending unit. my old 95 Neon did it. just replace the whole fuel pump module and it will be fixed. or if you can, take apart the module and find a replacement sending unit. but it would just be easier to replace the whole thing since your down there.

i would say itsthe fuel level sender....its a little circuit board lookin thing on the side of the fuel pump....it is easy to replace...just need to pull the fuel pump out of the tank, then slide out the old sender and slide a new one in....

fuel pump is located on the passenger side on the botton side of the tank.

the problem is most likely your fuel levelsending unit
