i was told the other day that dodge made a steel intake manifold for the neons instead of the plastic one ...what year were tehy on ..and if i managed to get ahold of a steel one and had it bored and polished and all that good jazz could i get better results than im gettin with the plastic intake...i imagine some is gonna reply back and tell me to buy the indy intake or sumthing of that nature but i cant it must appear to be stock...see my delema...ok thanks for ur time

 

not steel, Aluminum, The plastic one you have is already smoother on the inside than the alum one and it wont heat soak. Only advantage to the alum one is being able to chop and weld it to make a custom one and its a lil ez er to port.

You can port out the inj humps and remove the 90* bend on ur plastic 1.....

 

also, you can get a 2001 and up 2nd gen Magnum intake mani with the dual runners and secondaries.....

they came on all neons it was just a luck of the draw... im guessing they ran out of thenormallones half way threw the model year and had to start making the other ones...
