trust me there fine... not trying to be a dick but there perfectly fine... I've seen much worse on a neon and they still work fine... face to face the cams look much better then the pic can look...
heres a pic of the cams upclose and i know it looks like there worn but I promise you there not... there is no groove what so ever what your seeing is just where the rollers are making contact with the cam... i did get the micro out and there is a .0001 difference... so if you want to call that wear then theres wear... I say its good... if I was to clean the cams up you would say wow those look awsome...

I got the oil pan off as well no damage from what I can see the pick up tube was on the oppisite side so it looks good... do they normally have a slight angle to one side of the block??? everything spun well even when the pan was on...

Do these valve guides look normall??? Are they going bad or is it just becuase there in the flow of the exhaust gas that they look this way... sorry for all the post but the files are to big to upload them all at once...

the valve guides are probably just dirty. clean them off and look at the insides. put a valve in there and try to rock it side to side. if there feels like the valve can move side to side (even just a little) then there probably tire. usually dont see to many problems with the guides in these engines (that im aware of!)
