the other day my neon starting getting a knocking sound when i got on it...im almost positive its and ignition problem. possibly my distributor. i want to fix it my self instead of taking it somewhere...anyone have any ideas, maybe a new coil pack???? any help is greatly appreciated

 

neons dont have distributors. first thing i would do is try and pull some codes from the PCM



can you try and put more detail into your explination of the knocking sound.

 

possible lash adjuster failure...dnt wry their fairly easy to replace
