Code 11....why??
Hiya people and thanks to the guys that advised me to get new battery, well I finally managed to get one the right size etc....not any easy task over here in the UK.now after I put the battery in went to start Neoon and it`s throwing a code 11......now I know it`s not the timing or the cranksensor or even the camsensor as these were alldone before..........weird thing is i wasn`t getting any codes at all except the usual 12 and 55, before I put battery in so why would i get them now?......the car has not been moved etc, old battery was shot, took it out and replaced with new battery..voltage tested 14.26, so i`m wondering could the main ground from the battery be shot somewhere and causing the PCM to send out a wrong code.....I`ve had this car since August and have only managed to drive it for 40miles and its soul destroying.I`m not clued up on cars but you guys have pulled me through everytime so i`m kinda hoping you can do it for me one more time....any ideas would be worth a try.........and again thanks to everyone thats helped this complete noob.

this is all i could get for code 11
[*]"11 No ignition reference signal detected during cranking (bad Hall effect) OR timing belt skipped one or more teeth; OR loss of either camshaft or crankshaft position sensor. Can cause the engine to stop working entirely with no limp-home mode." www.allpar.com
Iwould try disconnectingthe negative terminal on your battery for 5-10 minutes to clear the codes and see ifth CELcomes back.

Cheers Volt but i`ve done that many times, even left the negative off completely for 24 hours and still nothing, just seems strange that the code wasn`t there before i removed the battery and now it`s there.damn motor is gonna be the death of me....any other ideas guys....and girls...PLEASE
Cheers guys, cleared the code 11.....the old terminal clamp was shot so replaced that and cleaned up a couple of grounds but now I`ve got no spark........new coil plugs etc and nothing.....going bloody insane lol
ok a quick update.
Changed every ground i could find, tested starter (fine), coil pack fine, leads plugs battery, terminals, clamps fuses, fuel pump...damn near everything is fine but no power getting to the coil pack, tested centre wire of plug that goes to coil pack, no power, now I think i`m getting smewhere, all i need to know is where does this wire go to, PCM or fuse box.I`ve got a Haynes and a service manual on cd and either I`m to dumb or i just can`t see it.any help guys would be great.
