guys, bragging about two cars that run 17's on the track, racing each other in the street is not somthing to be proud of.

funny, i got into it with a mitsu 3000gt last night. had dual exhaust so... hmm, may have been the v6, but im not sure. lol. we were out in the middle of no-where and it was about 2am. so there was NO trafic. i was driving along between gresham and sandy on hwy 26 and out of no-where this car just appears next to me and then is gone! i was like wtf! so i sped up and follow his tail lights till we got into sandy (a tiny little town) and just followed him till we got through and he stayed on 26. once we had gotten through town i staged myself right next to him and started pushing forward and backing off, to show him i wanted to play. finaly while i was backing off he hit the throttle, so i promptly dropped into 3rd and floared it. we took it all the way up to about 95mph and ended with him about 4 car lengths back. not a bad run 55-95 and i surprisingly was up front. kinda surprised me! i dont do this very often any more, but when he flew by me like that it got my adrenalin pumping and i couldnt help it!

Look, I never race when theres traffic usually when I race I'm the only good option for other people at 2am. I'm the last resort race for alot of people who think their car is fast.

The Mitsubishi 3000GTs always had a V-6, the SL version is non turbo at 221Hp and does a 16.4 Second Quarter Mile, the VR-4 is twin turbo and does a 14.2. I had a friend who had a 94 SL and it was damn fast and because I loved his car so much I bought Grand Tourismo which lead me to buying GT2 which had the Neon in thesport compact racing class which lead to my love of the Neon and its "tao" because of how bad it whipped other cars.

I've clocked my Neon at 16.1 with my Gtech before the turbo, and with the turbo 14.3 without slicks, say what you want about the Gtech it does pretty good fora cigarette lighter plug in.

Hey Spawne the nearest drag strip is 80 miles away from me, the nearest street race is 2 miles from my house what amI going to choose? Most of the time I mind my own business but I do not turn down a Race that I think I have a chance of winning. This is what being a car enthusiest is all about feeling the power of your ride in real world conditions. I have even smoked a Newer Mustang from a 35mph start and waxed him very good. My Neon has gained respect to every one its lined up against even races I've lost. I've been beaten by people and they have told me that they didn't even realise a Neon could be that fast.

The Neon Highline is listed at 16.3 in the Quarter Mile so wheredoes the 17 second time come in you speak of?

Ajay I might be buying a Digital cam this week so I could send you some pics if you want. I have some pics of my car from 2 months ago if you have a instant messenger let me know I'll send ya some.
