Hi again people, yet more trouble ith my Neon, firstly the battery threw a dead cell so replaced it, then got code 11, bad ground.replaced code cleared, car wouldn`t spark.bad wiring from ignition.sorted.and now the car starts first time virtually everytime BUT.......after idling for a minute or 2 the revs start jumping about until it stalls.....my theory is a clogged fuel filter or pump on its way out...I`ve checked fuel rail, injectors and pressure...which when first started is fine but that also starts jumping about in time with the jumping idle...so could the clogged fuel filter be the cause.....I hear the pump priming.....but when car dies i often hear pump prime 3 - 4 times in succession..I`m stumped....real annoying as my brother in law.who fell in love with my Neon, got hold of one for half the money i paid for mine and his has no troubles.......any help guys please

 

Could be a relay issue? Garb a few spares from the yard and swap them out. Next, I'd locate a new fuel sock for the filter. That would eliminate the clogging aspect, without having to buy a new pump.
