I ment a 2.0 sohc block with 2.4 dohc head sorry. lol yeah we put new plug wires on and a new computer and coil pack and plugs it fires right up. But when you drive it for alittle it sputters at 3k or higher we checked the timing it was fine im geuss its miss firing some how i just cant seem to figure it out.
you check the injectors to see if there firing???
just turn the car on and get a long flat blade screwdriver put the tip to the injector and the handle of the screwdriver to your ear... you should hear a steady tick if it is not steady or no sound... you have a bad injector...

we changed the fuel pressure regulator and it doesnt do it as bad now but the o2 censor was showing up on the computer when we ran it the could the o2 censor be causing it to sputter
o2 sensor will do that too
The result is poor driveability, manifested by one or more of the following symptoms:
ยท decreased fuel economy
ยท hesitation on acceleration
ยท stalling
ยท surging
ยท rough idle and
ยท increased tailpipe emissions (with a likely failure of emissions tests, where mandated).
In addition to driveability problems, a faulty O2 sensor can lead to premature failure on the catalytic converter.
