hey guys i have been using 10w30 oil in my 99 Dohc and like a couple of weeks ago i change the head gasket and everything in beetwen well long story short , a coupLe of days ago i change the oil to 5w30 synthethic and now the oil light acts like if it want to light it up but just A little and just in the mornings, is that my car cant handle that kind of oil anymore???

 

And like......HUH????

 

ok...so you use to use 10w30.......then you changed the headgasket..........switched to 5w30 synthetic right? so now the oil light comes on(in the morning)?

 

how long does the oil light stay on?

the 5w 30 is a little thicker oil and depending on how cold it is outside it may take alittle longer for the oil to circulate through the system causeing the oil light to come on for a short while.but i would not worry to much if the light goes off and stays off the rest of the day.

 

Hate to break it to ya buddy but 5w-30 is thinner than 10w-30...

 

and 20w 50 is the thinnest LOLOLOLOL
