ok both the srt-4 and the 2nd gen steering wheel, that is not the srt one but looks the same will fit on 1st gens right?


I have read the you need to splice in a new clockspring.
First what does the clockspring even do, and does anybody know what it looks like.
Do I need to splice in another clock just for the air bag to work. or is the clockspring just for the horn?


Well if anybody has any info or maybe even a write up on it or something that would be great.

 

You need the 2nd gen clockspring or SRT-4 clockspring to make sure the airbag and horn work. You will need to splice it into your current 1st gen clockspring.

 

the clockspring looks like a spiral. all it is is a set of wires that can 'wrap up' or 'unwrap'.
