Crashed, fonr bumper bent down and hood buckled. help replacing.
I drive a 1995 neon sport. Long story short i was following a freind the other day, and the car infront of herstoped short. I was on ice, and slide 20 feet into her cavalier. The only damage i can see is the hood is in definate need of replacement, fog lights were cracked and the bumer is bent down. i think this is becasue the reinforcement was bent in the accident. how is that metal reinforcement attached to the car? i havent taken the bumper off yet, as it is still drivable as is. i found the parts relitively cheap, but im not sure exactly how to go about replaceing the bumper. and info or tips would be apreiciated,
thanks,
Matt

the front bumper doesnt have any steel reenforcements ....the bumper cover bolts on the sides and underneith...then theres a piece of styro-foam that is molded to the bumper and bumper cover ...after the foam is the actual bumper which is bolted to the unibody or subframe which ever u call it ...my gess the that the actual bumper got bent at the bolts...i wouldnt wry to much about changin it ..its a pretty simple repair...you might actually be able to bend it back into shape and get away with buying a new one...a pic of the front of ur car would help alot...
Allright, so i pulled off the bumper to see what kind of damage was underneath... and i found that the actual bumperr seems to be definatly deformed. It is bent down, and i wasnt able to straighten it up. Where would you recomend getting the parts from. I would like to put a body kit on and maybe a non-stock hood. but i dont want to speand lots of extra mmoney. Any sugestions would be great.
