So I got board today since it decided to snow like hell today and it was my day off... Got to thinking how you all gave me **** for my engine bay looking so damn dirty...

IE.....


So I went out and tore the VC off cleaned it up, hell my wife even let me use the kitchen sink... found that palmolive works the best, well atleast better then gojo...

cleaned the coil pack and spark plug wires up using old toothbrush and a very small amount of palmolive.

Heres what the VC looks like after the clear coat went on...
Pics doesent do this color justice at all, It's a three stage Candy apple red color... I'll put some pics up after It gets to sit for a bit and dry all the way...


You can sorta see the true color in the pic where the flash refects up...

i just take mine the the do it yourself was and hose the engine down with tire cleaner and powerwash it much eaiser than taking it apart and cleaning it with a toothbrush

 

lol it was like 5 degrees here yesterday... hell no to going to a car wash and freezing my *** off...

 

ok got it on... looks good to me... I know that the whole bay is not clean but oh damn well...

 

well okay guess im crazy like that then course 5 degrees isint that cold when you live in alaska thats tee shirt weather lol JK but even then i would have went to the coin-op the one i use has doors and heat. or i would dress warmer only takes a min to do

you should justtry not tobent the wires on 2 and 3

 

plug wires 2 and 3 look a like they were origanilly for 1 and 4
