rattenstatenfrickin engine swap
OK the story goes like this hit a dear and recked my 97 SOHC ATX Neon.
Bought a 95 with a blown DOHC and MTX.
took my great running engine and put it in the 95 read the posts about what sensor wiring to change instead of buyin new crank and cam sensors I just changed the plugs.
Colors of all the wires matched up fine thought i had it good to go.
Bought a Mopar reman. ECM and put that in.
NO START Tha dam thing acts as thought the timming is off, it aint, I checked and double check and had my mopar tech buddy (who is also scratchin his head without the scope here) check. Just in case I,m going blind or something.
I went back and double checked all the wires and wiring diagrams and there is no differance I can see. OK so the fuel presure was low so in goes a new fuel pump, well nearly new I had just put it in the 97 a few months back, OK got plenty of presure now and still nada. Just a lot of backfirin threw the TB.
ANYONE got a clue as to what I can do, do i have to have the emc flashed? NO codes show now even with the misfires I tell ya all I'm baffled never had one do this to me before.
Maybe mopar gave me the wrong ECM? course it would I think it throw a code if it was for sa a DOHC or a ATX.
Well I' hoppin one of you gear heads know something I'm missin and will inform this Chevy transplant old fart as to what to try next
One suggestion/question is, did dodge for some reason when they changed from the round pin plugs to the flat ones change the amount of read sectors on the cam and or crank sensors?
Do i need to go back and just eat the cash and by 95 sensors?
I sit and wait for the words of wisdom to flow forth
Thanks in advance

RE: rattenstatenfrickin engine swap
Injectors all fire, comppresion is good, engine grounded to back of head and negative battery wire goes to starter bolt cars at a buddys so have to check the number on the ECM
Part number listed on the reicpt is R4874154 Module-engine C
will check all plugs for fire this afternoon
