I have a 97 neon sport, and sometimes my car does not start. It will start when it is cold but after being driven and shut off the car will no longer start. Everything in the car turns on (interior light, head lights, radio) but ut just doesnt start. I took it to a shop to see what was wrong and all they did was an electrical test and that came back fine. So I was wondering if anyone would beable to give me any info on what it may be.

It sounds like it's the starter itself or starter solenoid, but there are many other things that it could be as well and they won't show up on diagnostic checks. You can do a check yourself by simply turning your ignition on and off, it's a Chrysler Corperation feature built into the vehicles computer (PCM).

 

You say it won't start....
Well is it cranking over and won't start or is it not cranking?
That is a very big difference for symptom and leads you different places.

If it won't crank then start looking at starter issues...
If it will crank over fine and just won't fire off then look to fuel and spark!
