well how many diffrent things can you do with a cherry picker becides pull the motor? if you really want to know i plan to pull the motor and use the rebuild kit from modernperformance and redo the bottom end with low compression JE pistons .020 over and Crower rods. but the real point to my story was i got a free cherry picker not that im going to work on my neon

 

i totally get it now. when you said cherry picker - to be 100% honest i thought of a scissor lift or something. so i take the blame on that one. lol.

hey can u keep me updated on how the rebuild goes? id like to see how well modern packs and puts that kit together. it looks nice.

 

heh heh heh yes thats also a nic name for man lifts as well. however i figured since were talking about cars everyone would get it. its alright.
it will be awhile till i start my rebuild but i will deffinatly keep everyone updated since i will prolly have a few questions when i start. damn i cant wait to get out of the army and get back to home sweet home fuc& alaska

 

im in college now... but ive thought of going into the army.sometimes i think id like it better and iddef like toget out from under my loans. u cant take ur car w/ u to basic n id have nowhere to keep mine.

im afraid to try and rebuild my engine. my crank pulley was going to snap under the pressure of the puller before it would come off. to set my timing I had to slide a piece of plastic banding between the cam gear and the timing belt, then i could move it. it was hard, but igot it back in time.

 

yeah its good i got a total of 53,000 for college and 20,000 for my GI bill so 73,000 for college isint bad at all they do have lots of programs that if you join you can pay off your student loans and such.

 

alot of guys call a engine hoist a cherry picker, however, a real cherry picker is the type lift that you see mounted on utility vehicles like from the power company such as this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cherry_picker

a man lift and a cherry picker is the same thing.
