im driviNg home and im about two miles from my house when my car just shuts off shes been great ever since i swapped a new engine into her. So back to the story i ran the two miles because i had no service got my dad up and he got his truck we went back to my car where he attached the tow rope and we towed it back to my house. Fun drive i must say. but seriously before i check on my car tomorrow anybody have any ideas what caused this? i hope its nothing serious dont feel like wasting money on it

If it just shut off I'm thinking check the power wire leading to the underhood fuse box... and or wires to ignition.

 

check all your fuses too

 

I would have slept in my car. Check for loose plugs and what not like they said.

 

so me and my dad checked it out all te fuses seem to be ok along with the ignition wires whhe u turn the key the started is trying to turn the engine but the engine wont turn over. im goin to check all the codes right now

 

12 Direct battery input to PCM was disconnected within the last 50 key-on cycles
54 No Cam signal at PCM
35 Rad Fan control relay circuit
15 No vehicle speed sensor signal (my speedo doesnt work)
42 Fuel pump relay control ckt, Auto shutdown relay control ckt, No ASD relay output voltage at PCM, Fuel level sending unit volts out of range, Fuel level unit No change over miles
and code 55

 

most likely code 42 and possibly 54. have you checked the RELAY for the fuel pump? and check out the cam sensor.

 

wheres the relay for the fuel pump?

 

fuse box under your hood, just look under the cover and it will tell you what all the relays are.
