well now i have a serious problem

Default well now i have a serious problem

the bolt on the front control arm, to the rear of the control arm, the rear bushing, snapped in half as we took it out, and the top half the bolt is up in the crossmember i guess. How am i gona fix this problem? Should i head over to the honda dealer and price out a new car?

wow... your going to have to drill that bolt out just get a GOOD drill bit that is smaller then the bolt but big enuf so when you get threw it the bolt will be fragile enuf that it will colapes and you would be able to pick it out of the hole... just dont go so big that it will dig into the threads...

i'd drill a hole into the unibody (in the black undercoated section) and torch that son of a bitch off, then just fish a new bolt into the hole and weld that into place. you can fish a new bolt in there by feeding out a length of arc welding wire and giving it a quick zap onto the bolt you wanna use, then cut the wire and use the wire to fish the new bole into the hole from the top. then tack the bolt in real purdy like.

or

make sure the bolt is threaded in there.... take a punch and see if you can dislodge it, if you can then all you gotta do is use the above technique to get a new bolt in.

sheilded ARC welding uses wire.

this is not good, alot of these solutions are going to be extremely difficult for me because i dont have the equipment, im going to have to examine it further tomorrow and see what i can do

should be screwded into the unibody

could you feel the bolt slowy seize or was it hard to turn from the start?

well you could get an easy out and a torch and do it that way. i would say thats going to work the best for you and its fairly cheap
