Hey All! I'm new here and I have a bit of a conundrum. My starter went in my 96 neon....I have unhooked all wires and taken out the 2 bolts to the starter. My problem is that I CANNOT remove the starter. It simply won't come out. Could the solenoid have caused the starter gear to be stuck in the flywheel? I've never heard of this problem but I'm at my wit's end. I've been working on this all day. if anyone can give me some help, I would sure appreciate it. Thank you!!

 

is it not budging at all... or does it just swivel???

have you hit it with a hammer pretty good may knock the pin back in...

 

yeah, hit it with a hammer real good. its broke anyway, so dont worry about how hard you hit it.
