How in the world do you get to the top bolt of the starter. I have a 95 neon and I hope I don't have to losten a collant hose. Help!

 

Its on the transmission side of the motor, coming from the trans into the starter through the motor. I belive its 5/8 or 18 mm, its a long bolt.

I know this is an old thread, but I wanted to use my first post to say thanks to casper for the information here. I spent an hour reaching around that starter looking for the second bolt.

I'll post some photos when I get new brushes put into my starter and bolt it all back up. I don't see any diy for this on the internets so I suppose I might as well do it.
