i did the on board check and i came out with these codes can anyone tell me what they mean and what can i do about it i got 12, 22, and 43 PLZ HELPPP MEEE i just bought this car and it came with these problems i want it to ride smooth again

 

12 Direct battery input to PCM was disconnected within the last 50 key-on cycles (means nothing, pretend its not there)

22 Engine coolant temp sensor out of range

43 Multiple/ single cylinder misfire (bad one)

 

Code 12. Direct battery input to PCM was disconnected within the last 50 key-on cycles

really no solution. 95to96 said in my post that this wouldnt trigger the CEL

Code 22. Engine coolant temp sensor out of range

check to make sure coolant level is ok, check sensor connection, test/replace coolant temp sensor

Code 43 Multiple/ single cylinder misfire

Many possible problems cause this code. go step by step to solve this. Will also depend on your other codes if any. This code can cause cel to flash if misfire is not intermittent. An OBD-II scan tool can tell you which cylinders are missing (or keep reading for a trick)

lol yea sorry just bought this car and i want to get it in great shape i had a civic and damn i miss it so fast and beautiful so i decided to go into american to give it a try i got a good deal on this car its a 1998 dodge neon for $1000 with 87k miles original but its automatic..... and sohc so i want to fix evrything it gots before i start looking for a manual tranny and aftermarket parts

 

thats not a bad deal at all. hopefully you can get the code 43 fixed. thats the one id be worried about the most.
