you may see this as bad but i dont care its a jy that rips ppl off daily.. so im curious if i can put some thick A$$ oil or something in there to stocking the KNock/Ticking Sound.. and what vescocity (LOL) or watever its called shouod i use ??? need to know asap they might drive it today or tomorrow

 

you could try useing SAE 50 and some STP oil treatment

Wait your jy tests the cars? My junkyards wll either say "150" or "bring it in and weigh it". I sell them cars all day with no engine and trash filling the trunk. They will always give atleast $100. Enless its north end. They have a huge junk yard. They have every part you need. So of course they are all mean cocky bastards that over charge for broken parts. I am interested in buying your car? Whats the junk yard giving you?

 

some SAE 50 would be the best way to go but i dont reccomend filling it with 4.5 quarts of that stuff...maybe do 3.5 quarts of it and then 1 quart of 10w40

 

yeh I am missing the point to? If its going to a junkyard who gives a rats if it knocks... its not like they are taking in perfectly good cars you know. And either way you look at it if your taking it there in the first place your gonna get screwed anyway.

Because he is wanting to trade his neons to the junk yard for an R/T, so it isnt the normal "junk" car you would take in...

 

the r/t is at the junkyard? is that what your saying... so he is taking his other neon to the junkyard to trade it for an r/t that is already there. well if thats the case, they will get you coming and going then... no way out of getting screwed.

 

Btw, did you ever check to see if the R/T has a clean title? If not, offer him $900, if he does not take it, walk away. He could only get $1900 tops for it with a motor...

ok the junkyard has a rt that has a knock they want 1500 for it and its in way better shape then joshes car witch seems to be a disaster...

What he wants to do is get rid of the knock in his blue neon so he can take it in and get more money for it, along with his none running green neon with bent valves...

The guy says he will take 800 down, and he would need to get the RT asap due to me coming up to him on the 10th to do the 2.4 swap...

the junkyard has 2 yards... one yard for parts cars and a yard for cars that they keep whole that just the motor is bad so the bodys are awsome just needs new motor type of thing... so they can get more from people due to them being stupid...

even with the small door problem its very hard to find good 1st gen neons in montana let alone a RT in damn good shape... I dont even think I've seen a RT in my town and my town is much larger then his...
