my 96 is a sohc auto could I use a dohc auto I would like a 98-99 engine something newer . the engine in her has almost 190,000 miles pretty good isnt it.

You can use the DOHC pretty easy, just make sure you get the motor complete with the PCM and wiring harness. Other than that the only other problems should be maybe a sensor plug or somethin like that.

The other problem is the wiring harness. You will need the DOHC one for it to work too.
