Hi, I have a 96 SOCH Neon 5 spd, and when i try and give it full throttle in any gear before the rpm's are high enough, the car sputters like its getting too much gas for the engine to handle. I've replaced the air filter but I was wondering what else could cause it?

 

check your spark plugs, if i know what your saying i had the same problem and i just had a bad plug

 

what rpm are you talking about? 500, 5000? Your not going to have torque on the low end with these motors, if you are trying to accelerate, I would keep the Rpms at 2500 or more.
