no i cant hear it whine thats the problem. i checked the fuse and the relay and they are both good. could it be possible i knocked a wire loose on the pump itself. ive been going through some really deep snow lately. but when it quit on me i wasnt going through any snow at all. but the roads i also travel regularly are very very bumpy and rough do u think it could maybe be the wire on the pump?

RE: gas cap?
what about the reset button in the trunk??
we live on dirt roads and it wasnt graded in awhile and a friend had a tempo and hit a lot of bumps and the engine cut off then someone sugested the reset and sure as **** it was triped
although you said you already had it parked its just a thought

Neons dont have a re-set button or trip for the fuel pump like the Fords.
