i have a 96 sohc neon 5 speed...all stock for now..i was wanting some more power out of it..besides the exhuast, and intake..what else could i do that would be cheap and get some ponies in the moter? thanks

 

Spark plugs and wires are supposed to give ya a few more hp.

 

95 cam... its more agressive and good for another 5-6 hp...

how do i get rid of a code 12 and i did the d/c of the neg battery cable??? also

 

i put a 96 dohc computer it helped and when i had my atx computer it took off

 

code 12 is almost always on there, it's from battery voltage dropping too low within the last 50 starts (basically, when you start the car, the starter draws the power below that level)

it's technically for power to pcm disconnected within last 50 starts, but from what i've heard is it's just a voltage monitor pretty much

No they don't!

After you turn the ignition on and off 50 times without disconnecting the battery.

 

The 00-05 magnum cam is a nice upgrade for the 1st gen neon. Get the springs as well....put that with a nice ported/polished head and you can feel a nice difference.

 

Whats better the 95 or the magnum cam?
