so according to this link
i got screwed on a shorter shaft shifter
so i was curious if i took my stock shifter and made the part that really matters shorter what would i gain out of it
anything bad

you can cut the shaft shorter, it looks and feels nice, but is completely useless performance wise
the little rob/**** combo piece at the very bottom of the shaft, the less that has to travel, the shorter your throw
so make it straight instead of slightly crooked like stock and move it up about 1/4" to 1/2"
that should work for you

so i just got 2 post that were both differant
one of you say the longer the bottom half is the shorter the shift and the other says the shorter it is
i wasnt talking about making the shaft shorter since i did say
but i actually need to makethe bottom part longer??
anyone have any pictures of there STS before the install so i can see what the bottom part looks like...
