Cleaning it on the car is hard to do right. Take it off, bench clean it, and get the gasket. your TB is one of the major places that you can lose power, why not do it right for an extra $20? You spent all that money on an intake that will give you almost no gain unless you have done some major mods, and can't spend a few dollars on a gasket and TB cleaning that will probally give you more HP increase than the intake?

I am getting ready to dump some major coin on my 03 Neon in a new exhaust CATBACK and Intake but would really like to save the coin if I don't REALLY need it. If it wasn't going to cost me about a grand, then I would just do it regardless to give my ride a little more personality than the other 1600 neons I see everyday....

Just thought I would throw this one out there again and see what you guys (and girls) thought!
PS - I would take the TB off and bench clean it. Better right the first time (as stated before).

the cat-back exhuast will give you some gain, you might loose some low end torque, but you will definatly gain it on the high end. The intakes flow pretty good stock, and if I am correct the intake manifolds are like $500 or more. I plan on going turbo, so a new intake won't do too much good once I get it.
