Default Motor mount

I just put in my new motor mounts today. I got the solid fron mount and the solid bobble. I expected vibration, but not as bad as it is. Anybody who has these and can shed some light on my problem would be appreciated.

1. How did you install the bobble strut? I put it in with the sleeve and 2 rubber washers that were on the stock strut. I am not sure what the piece was supposed to look like, but it seemed to leave a lot of play, and did not seem to tighten down right. I think I might need a new rubber piece for the top of the strut or take it out and just use a few washers.

2. The vibration is not that bad at idle, but from maybe 1500 - 2500 rpm is real noisey. Any ideas?

Have no idea but here is a thought. Is there a spacific amount of torque to tighten them at. If so maybe a torque wrench would help.

No thats not it, the bushing in between the 2 washers its whats giving it play, I think I'm gonna take it out and slip a few washers in there to tighten it up.

I just got off the phone with Howell, they said to pre-load the bobble. In other words, jack the motor up a little in the rear and then adjust the bobble to the correct length. So, I'm gonna try that and see how that works for me.

I figured out why I had so much vibration. My hood was not properly adjusted.

I took the bushing out and put it in with just the 2 washers, one on either side of the bracket that mounts to the motor and trans. That helped a little. Also I figured out why I had so much vibration. My hood was not properly adjusted.
