Interesting question
I doubt you can with the stock PCM. You would need to reprogram it, you know like they do with Hypertech. And from what I have researched and read, there isn't anything out there where you can do that for the neons.
thats kind of what i'm saying. Not that getting to 120 faster is not good, but was is the point of spending $3500 on a turbo to make the car faster and then getting cut off at 120?
With a stock computer, I thought a cam upgrade will help the top speed alittle along with upper rpm range. I thought it would improve the top speed like 5-10 mph. Is that true?

It will help you get there faster, but the computer will still cut your fun off at the same point. Once I cam mine up I was kind of hoping to be able to rev it just a tad more (since mine is going to have more top end)...but once again mr. stock pcm is going to stop me. I really need to find something that will disable some of the limits this thing has on the car.
Well I tried Southeast performanc, one of our sponsers and this is the answer I got:
Looks like its either a stock PCM or a separate Ignition and Fuel system.
hi ken,
mopar has been out of the pcm business since 2000. they have re-developed some performance pcm's to be used with their SRT4 stage 2,3 kits but these are only tailored for their kits. they do run overly rich as a protection for engines some people would abuse.
these pcm's are tame compared to what you will need for major turbo/engine upgrades.
no pcm's are available for mopar.
we have 6:30 turbo mustangs and 7-8 sec chevies running turbo and we supply them the new DFI accel systems which perform outstanding.
i'm afraid this is only area you have to follow. there are other piggy back systems for less money but i would hate to lead you in that direction and hear a failure took place.
wish i had better news but whatever i can do to help, please ask. we have promoted the mopar family since the 60's and it's not all dollar and cents to us.
