Okay I just picked up some new seats for my 1998 Neon. They were from a 2003 SXT. I got them from a wrecking yard so they have a bit of dirt on them, no real bad stains, but I was just wondering the best way to clean them. I also wanted to know if there are any tricks to putting them in, the should just bolt in right? Thanks for the Help!

 

Well I don't know seats are in the 1st gen, but its simply 4 bolts on the 2nd gen. I can take a front seat out in a matter of 5 minutes, or put one back in the car in 5 minutes. Easy as pie.

 

Yep, they'll bolt right in the exact same way. If you have a coupe, don't plan on them tilting forward though. I've got 2k2 RT leathers in my ACR, and they're pretty sweet. I can just barely squeeze into the backseat around them since I have a coupe.

 

Any tips for cleaning them?

 

Any standard upholstry cleaner should do if not too bad. Meguirs has some pretty good oder eliminator as well (Friend had mice get into a stored car and you can imagine what that was like for a while but that was cured by the odor elimintor and disassembly of the air box).

If not good enough try a steam cleaner.
