man you gotta ground the negative too. if that means running a black cable up front then thats what i would do. is this for your DD or race?

you need to ground the starter somewhere in the engine bay since the ground used to be the negative post, then a ground from the negative post to a location in the trunk. i used one of the mounting bolts for the strut.i got one power wire going straight to the starter and another power wire going to the exsiting wire using the largest crimp connector i could find. probably not the best but i have yet to have any problems. so it worked for me. hopw this helps. can get pics if need be just got home from a 10 hour work day so i'm kinda lazy.

ok its pretty simple...

1. Run a 2awg or larger wire up to the engine bay and attach it to the starter...

2. run 10awg wire from same spot you just put the main power wire to the relay box that is mounted on the battery tray...

3. Run same size wire as step one from bottom starter bolt (that goes threw the transmission) to the drivers side frame rail... use the bottom bolt of the battery tray (make sure you get the frame rail down to bare metal using sanding wheel or sand paper)

4 Run same size wire as in step 1 and 3 from negitive battery terminal to good grounding point in trunk...

done...

here is what i did:
the battery is in the trunk so i took a 4gauge power wire and ran it up front
grounded the battery to the taillight ground in the trunk

then up front:
i cut the old battery terminals off
put o-ring connectors on all 3 of the grounds and then grounded them using one of the bottom bolts that held on the battery tray...
then for power, i just used the wires that were connected to the positive battery clamp and hooked them up to a distribution block..then hooked the power wire from the battery up to the distribution block...
thats it
