42 could be any of these things...

42
P1282 Fuel Pump Relay Control Circuit
P1388 ASD Relay Control Circuit
P1389 No ASD Relay Output Voltage At PCM
P0460 Fuel Level Sending Unit & Circuit, No Change Over Miles
P0462 Fuel Level Sending Unit Voltage Out Of Limits, Too Low
P0463 Fuel Level Sending Unit Voltage Out Of Limits, Too High

so best bet would be to got to napa and barrow there obd2 tester to get the exact code...

how ever you would not be able to pass if you have the evap code... let alone the fuel code...

you need to trace the vac tube off the tb to the carcoal canister under the front bumper cover... then trace the lines back to the tank look for cracks and splits or rotting... then check the vacl lines around the evap purge sylinoid mounted on the passenger side motor mount... check the wires on the plug... thats about it... its not that complicated of a system...

as far as the 42 code your going to need to find out the exact code by getting a obd2 reader on it... then let us know and we can walk you threw that too...
