hey guys, again another question for yas.. k, my neon has no top end now, it did like a month ago right after 4 grand it starts to haul ***, and now, again its juss goin real slow ta get up there nemore.. any ideas what it can be? its a dohc and 5 speed. i cleaned out fuel tank, ran higher octain, the cats gutted, no exhaust leaks, new iac and tps, cleaned the air filter,new fuel filter, new plugs and wired and coil packnew map sensor also... plz help!

 

What mods do you have, and what (if any) has been done to you neon? On a whim, I'd say your car needs a tune up. New plugs, oil change, pcv, check tire pressure, and I am sure your intake manidold is filthy on the inside thanks to the EGR.

 

nope intake is clean as a whistle, and new plugs and fuel pump and filter and wires are all replaced.... it juss doesnt have power after 4 grand anymore.. i mean it use ta pullll like a sob but now it dont... and no mods juss real cai and exhaust

 

sometimes takingout catcan harm your O2 sensor

 

is there a check engine light on???
maybe the timing jumped a tooth.....does it start and idle fine???

 

i had my computer scaned and it said 02 sensor bank 1 sensor 2, but thats the one after the cat and i had that disconnected but i didnt think that one really did anything.. but other then that i didnt have no other codes juss that

 

anybody wit ideas? plzzzz i need help fast and i cant figure it out

 

Reconnect your 02. There is no reason to just disconnect a sensor. Your PC sees a problem, so correct it.

 

when i was running a turbo on my car i had the downstream 02 sensor disconnected and it didnt give me any problems

 

its only when i floor it tho it dont got no ***** at past 4 grand, can it be my fuel injectors or sumtin?
