ok this morning i woke up and went to town. no probs with tranny or reverse..i get back home and i eat lunch and i go out to my car and i try to put it in reverse and it wont go.. i have to pull really hard back just to back up but it wont go in so i push it back adn i pull out of my drive and i drive around and try it again nothing..so i get back home and i try there and i have reverse again..sometimes it will go and some times it will go to 4th.. i think im in need of a new tranny. its a mtx. or do i just need to change the fluid or is that a waste of time? thanks

 

Try putting it into first then to reverse. It helps me out. Sets the syncro's or something. Or check your shift linkage under the shifter. try to adjust it and see what happens. There is one adjuster on it. Side to side I believe.

 

i tried that and i did the linkage.. and then i went to town it poped out of 5th gear. so i think im goin to start lookn for another tranny

 

the fluid in it now is oil im assuming but its full. so ill change it out and put new fluid in. so if that dont help ill b lookn for another tranny.
