Hi guys, well today i just thinked about swapping a 2.4 in tread of my 2.0 SOHC which...... it work well but i want more juice. So i just want to know everything about the swap and everything ill need to do and BUY cuz my budget is limited... like 2 million maximum. So i tought you could help me out.

 

Heres the genaric list...

1) 2.4L DOHC engine from 95-02 Chrysler Products
2) 2.0L DOHC Intake manifold AMM intake manifold...
3) 2.0L DOHC exhaust manifold (stock or aftermarket)
4) 2.0L DOHC Coolent hard pipes
5) 2.0L DOHC PCM (Stock, Mopar, or AFX)
6) 2.0L DOHC Wiring harness
7) 2.0L Crankshaft pulley (Some 2.4's will require the use of a 2.0L UDP)
8) 2.4L Motor mount adapter 70
9) PT Cruiser water pump output neck 4884291AA, O-Ring 6503180 2.63
10) 2nd Gen Neon fuel pressure regulator (58psi) OR 24lb. injectors (one or the other)
11) PT Cruiser alternator brackets
12) DOHC Hood
13) 2.4L Stratus motor mount

whats a good price for a 2.4L engine in a junk yard or from a car

 

The price has a very wide range... I have heard of people picking them up for 50 bucks from junkyards that do speicals where whatever you can carry over 10 feet you can take for 50 bucks to 300-1000 bucks... Theres a 2.4 im picking up in town for 550 with 27k boxer picked his up for like 949 shipped with 37...

 

My buddy got a 2.4 block from the dealer with warranty for $550.

 

2.4 block or 2.4 engine???

 

The block only....he had a DOHC already, so he just swapped it out.
