Default windshield replacement

I went out to take my kids to the park today, only to find my windshield cracked. It's almost a complete circle crack. Here's the question. Is there a repair kit for this, or do I need a new windshield? If I need a new one, and I can get one at the junkyard, do I use a gasket sealer type goo, or do I need a replacement gasket? I've asked 10 people, and Ive received 10 answers. I'd like to get this done this weekend if possible.
