If anyone has a atx tranny I am in great need. After finishing this car to sell I went for a ride to find out it wont down shift. I can shift it manually. Anyways if someone close has one they know works pm me. Thanks!

 

im not close but i have one with 100k that does seem like alot i guess... but a girl drove the neon b4 i got it so i dont think it was driven to hard or anything... but the belt snapped so she gave me the neon... but hey you live in Iowa and im in Montana[8D]

 

**** how u get the atx to not shift on its own so u have to go through the gears your self

 

I dont know. Its something to do with that piece that hooks to your throttle body. My other tranny only goes forward. Even in neutral and park it pulls forward. Hey boxer how much shipped for it?

 

yo which peice was it by the throttle body i mean like how does it shift do u have to go from 1 to 2 to D or does it shift up but not down cause i would actually like to have that idk im so use to having a manual tranny i have to shift the auto tranny it sucks

 

Okay listen. There is a cable that goes from you throttle body to your tranny shift linkage area. How it works: When u stomp on it the throttle body pulls that cable and therefor the tranny knows you floored it and down shifts. It upshifts fine. If I stop and floor it, it starts in 1st but shifts up very early. It doesnt sense the gas pedal in other words. So you would need to shift it yourself all day. Your not suppost to manual shift an auto... But you can do whatever you want. Do this at you own risk. Its the cable that gets pulled on your throttle body cable hook up spots. Its at the bottom. Just have someone push the gas pedal after you take the battery tray out. You will see it moving on the tranny.

yeah didnt mean to get your hopes up... and i realized this probly wouldnt go through cuz that is alot to pay for an atx trans but its not even worth my time to take off the other neon for the 30-50 bucks...
