If i was living in Long Island i would rebuild your engine for alwost free cuz its my hobit, and instead of rebuild your 2.0 SOHC block why dont you buy a 2.4 Block and SRT-4 piston assembly for 400$, its capable of 500hp, then you will have to buy new main and journal bearing for 100$. AND YES, you can remove piston from bottom but the crankshaft is in the way and to remove the crank you need to remove the flywheel and the seals, so your better remove it from the top.
