Found this 98 sohc engine almost two years ago. Sold the head, but kept the gauge cluster and the block, flywheel, oil pump, pistons, rods, and the crank.











Would like to sell it complete with some dohc pistons and a 420A oil pan. Would be great for a dohc or sohc car. $250 p/u I am going 2.4, and this block has no place in those plans. This is one of the cleanest parts i have. No leaks at all.[/img]

is it a stock block? or built? if it is a built block out of a sohc pm me!!!! would be very interested if so

 

It is a stock sohc block. I removed the sohc pistons, and replaced when with stock dohc pistons. Getting new rod berrings and pistons rings, pt water neck, new MLS headgasket and head bolts for $500 p/u. This block ran smooth, and is clean as hell from the engine pulls. I have not had it cleaned yet, and really do not need to. Was looking to go with a 2.4 turbo setup, but if this does not sell, I'll be dropping into my current neon.
