The one thing I loved about not having the AC or P/S was all the room in the engine bay.

 

you do know that they make a non-power steering rack for the neon... they are easy as pie to turn too.. feels like you have power steering...

 

My first Neon had the manual rack, the only problem is the20:1 ratio kindasucks. Didn't steer thatbad, just slow. Standard rack=18:1 R/T ACR= 16:1

 

hmmm.... maybe i will look for a manual rack... but i did the delete about a week ago, i am hoping that i will not kick myself later.. but i did cut the power steering pump braket off the car to.. .and i can not wait to see the car back together without it... like said above it will clean the engine bay up alot... and that is what i am lookin for.....

 

What about the A/C? You keeping that as well?

 

no my car never came with ac..... it is about as base model as avaliable in 02... manual windows, no ac, amfm radio, that is about all it had for options........

plus i am hiding the wiring harness as well, so the engine compartment should be VERY clean when it is done next year......
