Well I put my car in reverse to back out of my backyard into the ally, and as soon as I put it in reverse it slowly sounds like its going to die until I hit the gas and it takes off backwards. One day I was backing in to the gas station, and I had to turn the wheel as far as it would go to make it, and it did die that day.

Any Ideas?

 

is it mtx or atx?
could be a week battery?
bad alternator?

Don't think its the battery just got a new one about 3 months ago.

 

sounds like powersteering pump is putting strain on motor when you have wheel turned all the way try turning all the way and backing off the steering wheel a bit?

 

Well I noticed now its more often anymore its right after I start it and put it in drive/reverse it acts like it wants to die until I hit the gas and after I get going its fine.

 

the pwr steering pump should bog out b4 the engine should bog out if it was that though wouldnt u think?

does the car idle in neutral and park ok? someone who knows more about automatic transmissions may be best to answer this. first thing i would do with it is flush the atx fluid and put new in.

 

Well when its idling the it does idle quit loud sometimes, the fan will kick in and make the engine rev loud or so for a couple seconds then stop. Forgot to add engine gets hot pretty quickly, all fluids are full.

I don't know much about engines, Im more of a sub car audioguy. I can try an drain the fluid and re-fill it though.

 

does the idle go down alot when you trun the A/C on?

 

Yes it does.

 

well good thing to do it take it to an autoparts store and see if they can pull some codes from the PCM. anouther good thing to do is get a compressionn test done.
