so tuesday night....coming home from downtown....i wasnt drinking or anything...about 12:15 at night i was making a left turn....and a dude on a bike slams into the back passangers side quarter panel....broke my gas lid off i have no clue how he hit the car straight on...and dented the crap out of it...i will get pics soon...i will be repainting the whole car...cause its gonna be hard to match up just the quarter panel....so its gonna be fun..but i cant belive a dude on a bike hit my car that hard...and he didnt get hurt

 

I think if your car needs a whole paintjob, isn't that technically totalled?

 

no cause technically i can just paint he back quarterpanal but i just dont wanna try and match up the color...cause i just wanna do it in one shot...and if you need a new paint job how is your car totalled??

 

Well a 98 neon isnt worth much money, and paint jobs (unless you get it from maaco) are not cheap. My buddy works at a sign shop, and has access to their body shop. He got free labor, and he still paid $2,000 for his paint job. He used some expensive *** paint, but still, about the cheapest you could get a good paint job all around would be like $1,500. If you went to amaco you can get it for like $250, but it will peel off after about a year.
